Happy nearly Valentine's Day friends! Now I know it might be seen as an excuse for corporations to make more money, or even make single people feel guilty but I have to admit that I do have a soft spot for the 14th Feb.

Not only is it two short weeks after my birthday, it's also an excuse to buy some new lingerie - whether it's for a special someone or just to feel *flames emoji* for yourself,  as that's important too.

So with that in mind, I've put together a few of my favourite pieces from places you might be slightly less likely to think of here on the blog, and then a haul of ASOS and Topshop pieces on my Youtube channel, which you can find here.

Some of my favourite brands are ones that I've found on Instagram, namely Hopeless Lingerie and Love Stories. Sadly neither are UK based but both deliver here so definitely worth a look! I stocked up on all things LS whilst I was in Amsterdam as they have an outlet there too.

Shop the post, and some other favourites:

my summer dinner ideas
HoF1 HoF3 HoF2 HofF

Hey guys, back at you with something a bit different from my usual but something I really enjoy so I hope you do too. I’m such a home-bird and as I’m sure you’ve guessed from my interiors posts, love buying bits and bobs for the flat so whenI was selected to choose products from the House of Fraser homeware range to create dining setting ready for Summer and a meal to match, I jumped at the chance!

I decided to cook a big spread for my Mum and boyfriend (they met on Sunday – all went well, totally putting that down to my cooking though!) with a loosely based Lebanese theme and thought I’d share the process, recipes and everything else along the way with you!

Firstly what I made:
I decided on lamb kofta ‘things’ as Kim (boyfriend) had made these for me recently and they were amazing so these were the main per-se. Alongside those, I made flatbreads using just three ingredients – they’re honestly amazing so read on for the recipe, as well as a big salad, lemon and garlic couscous, some hummus and sweet potato cubes. Naturally I couldn’t make a dinner without including halloumi and chargrilled sweet peppers so they were thrown in for good measure.

I picked out some new pieces to serve them all on. I wanted to go for a Summer, indoor al-fresco vibe (London living means no outdoor space, sob) so I went for neutrals and mismatched colours to compliment them. I absolutely adore random pieces coming together to make a collective when it comes to the dinner table to that was definitely my theme throughout. I managed to find these Celier assorted glasses too, which come as a set of six but are three different designs so they have a real vintage feel to them. But, it’s worth taking a lookat the House of Fraser glassware range to browse through more lovely pieces. Lastly I finished the table off with this amazing LSA globe shaped vase and some LINEA neutral coloured cotton napkins something I’ve weirdly never owned but look lovely spread across the table!

Now, onto the recipes. I won’t explain everything, as a lot is fairly self explanatory, for example I just cubed the sweet potato and drizzled in cumin, paprika, salt, pepper and olive oil then popped them in the oven to roast, but I’ll explain the trickier bits and do feel free to pop me a message if you get stuck as most of these things are just my own recipes!

Lamb Koftas:
500g lamb mince
1 red onion
3 garlic cloves
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt & pepper
1 tsp harissa (you can buy this everywhere as a paste now!)
Fresh parsley – a big handful

Finely chop the onion and garlic, and then combine all the ingredients in a bowl! This is pretty simple in that it all goes in a bowl and gets mixed up – but remember to get your hands in there! Once it’s well combined, form into small flattened balls and then fry in a splash of olive oil on a high heat. I like them a little bit charred as I don’t have a way of chargrilling them but that’s up to you!

Flatbreads:
Plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
Natural yoghurt

Welcome to the best thing you’ll make all week. I haven’t put the amounts as I find working by eye is best with this one. I start with three tablespoons of yoghurt and flour and add until the consistency is a light dough. Flour up the side, and roll into small, thin circles and then dry fry in a very, very hot pan. Expect some smoke from the flour so pop the extractor fan on!

Garlic and lemon couscous:
1 cup of couscous
3 garlic cloves
1 head of broccoli
2 lemons
1tsp of harissa
Salt and pepper to taste

Another super easy dish, cover your dry couscous (so nice they named it twice) with boiling water and cover with a lid for two minutes to puff up. Boil your broccoli to taste in a pan. While this is happening, juice your lemons and finely grate your garlic and combine – it’s pretty pungent so feel free to lose a clove if you’re not as keen as I am, but I do find that couscous needs a real kick as it’s so bland otherwise! Once the couscous has puffed up, pop your harissa and lemon/garlic in and give it a big stir, adding salt and pepper to taste. Finally, toss the broccoli through to coat it. Ta-da!

And that’s it, a pretty big Lebanese spread that would happily feed 4-5 people. Kim took a packed lunch the next day (and the cat nabbed a kofta) so it’s perfect for leftovers too. Do let me know if you need any help with any of the recipes, as I said – I tend to make things up as I go along and hope for the best so I’m not the best at explaining it!

Anyway, have a fab day and send me pictures if you make anything – or equally if you have any amazing crockery I need to know about!

some inspiration and a wishlist
all images via Pinterest - see below to shop items

I freakin' love doing these posts ok!!! They're the kind of thing I put off for so long, as to be honest I'm not actively buying much at the moment and they take a bloody age to make but equally I love fiddling about on Photoshop and spending hours on Pinterest and calling it 'work'.

This month I thought I'd merge them all together into a big collage of things I love. If I had an office I'd have this sort of thing on my wall, and update it monthly for some inspiration while I work - so here's a weird online office for you.

I'm really enjoying more paired back, neutral tones lately and adore linen. I'm trying to focus on the fact that hopefully we've got a little bit more Summer left so don't rush into buying knitwear too quickly but how amazing is this fluffy Stories number? Absolutely need, and getting all the Ganni vibes. I've also decided to start saving for my next handbag purchase and I think it's going to be this Acne number. I'm obsessed with the tan colour and love the knots. It also comes in this suede but we all know I'm a mucky pup so will have to admire from afar.

What do you reckon, anything you're popping on your wishlist?

interiors: art and plants
Desenio Desenio Desenio Desenio Desenio Desenio Desenio Desenio Desenio Desenio Desenio Desenio
Post in collaboration with Desenio, all mess my own

Prints featured:
Eucalyptus, Faces, Kissing and Desert

I really love interior posts, but I find it so hard to get the real feel of the room across - so I hope I've done ok at portraying it! I've gone for a slightly more colourful version of my previous rooms, adding in some colour with neon lights, rugs and of course my millions of plants. I thought I'd share some snaps of my bedroom in my current flat as I like to do these posts sporadically and it's fab to look back at when I move.

I'd been after some art for my walls for ages, so when Desenio popped me an email I naturally jumped at the chance and went straight to their site to pick out some of my favourites. I ended up going for the four pictured, and I love them! I decided to frame three of them and hang one using a gold clip, which is an idea I pinched from their website. I quite like that it looks laid back amongst the other bits and bobs on my desk. There are definitely a few more on my wishlist so expect some gallery wall going's on very soon.

For now I've adhered them to the wall using Command strips which are so good as they don't require holes etc and come off clean - perfect for renting (not spon - just fab!) and they've worked with Desenio's frames perfectly.

Finally, the code “GLAMERAMO” will give you 25% off posters* between May 22nd and May 24th, so hop on it ASAP!
*Except for frames and  handpicked-/collaboration posters

So what do you think, wall art - yay or nay?

a wishlist and inspo

I often forget how much I enjoy doing these kind of wishlist posts , but when I'm scouting the internet for things to include I remember how much I like fiddling about on Photoshop. So, without further ado - here's some things that are inspiring me and some clothes that I'd like to buy off the back of that.

two ways to wear glitter
NYX x Boots

You might assume that I'm not one for glitter, let alone glitter eyeshadow, but secretly I'm sold on anything pink and or glittery... I just tend not to put it on my face - so when Boots approached me with creating some glitter eye looks using NYX products, I really thought about how I could make them more wearable for someone like me. And well, these are the results!

NYX x Boots NYX x Boots

Look One:
For this look I really wanted to try and make something I could wear during the day but would translate well on those days where I have to go straight to an event etc. For this I really honed in on my usual make up look, but with a subtle edge somewhere which made it totally appropriate for a night out. To achieve this:
  1. Apply your usual base - I opted for a medium coverage foundation with my usual contour and highlight routine.
  2. I then used the NYX smokey palette to give my eyes a little bit of depth. I used the light cream all over, then compacted a bit of gold shimmer in the middle.
  3. I tend to wear a cat eye daily so I used my usual NYX epic liner to create a thick line, and then used a small brush to create a line of the glitter primer glue just underneath the outer flick.
  4. Using the same brush, I patted on a mixed coloured glitter to follow the line of my flick on each side - making sure it was really heavily packed on - and then patting it gently under my lower lashes.
  5. I finished the look with a matte pink lip - really easy to wear from day to night.

Look Two:
As you can see from my moodboard - I really liked the 'messy' and undone look with a rose gold/pink toned glitter loosely applied so I gave this a go. I used the NYX glitter which is honestly insane - a really finely ground glitter with lots of colours running through it. So, to achieve this look this is what I did:
  1. Applied my normal base make up, with a subtle contour and highlight
  2. Primed my eyelids in the NYX glitter primer glue (this stuff is AMAZING) and used my finger to blend up towards my eyebrows
  3. Curled my lashes twice, really lifting them!
  4. Used a blending brush to gently pat on the rose gold glitter, concentrating on the lid and then blending out to become more sparse around the eye
  5. Two coats of the NYX worth the hype mascara and then a slick of the amazing plum coloured NYX mega shine lipgloss to give it more of an evening edge. P.S I was super impressed with the lip colour, it goes on really opaque and yet has an amazing sheen.

a new home wishlist

So as you may have seen on my Instagram stories, I'm in the midst of moving house. While it's a stressful experience I'd rather not have to go through - my current tenancy was up and it was time to move on. I'm vlogging the whole fiasco here, so keep an eye out for that!

Nonetheless, I'm still excited about the prospect of decorating a new space so here are a few things I'm buying. I'll be sure to do a post on my new space when it's done!

Also, I'm really sorry about the lack of outfits posts of late. I feel terrible about it and I promise once life has settled down a little bit I'll be back on it. I'm also planning a massive blog refresh so it's all go here.

AW inspo
all images via pinterest

I love a good 'inspo' post when I'm feeling like I'm caught in a rut. This time it's for the impending Autumn season that's creeping in.
I'm still coveting pink tones and soft, draped pieces and also feeling the complete urge to make my entire house even more green to keep it Summery indoors.
I've also been looking at the likes of Lucy Williams, and some other fab blogging gals for some outfit inspiration. All found via Pinterest, which really is my saving grace when it comes to fashion drama.

What's inspiring you at the moment?
